Bond & Gifts
Dot Abyss Bond Levels & Gifts Guide
Bond (絆) quietly powers half of Dot Abyss: it gates the Tavern, feeds permanent stat growth, and unlocks outfits, stories and private scenes. This guide explains exactly what each bond level buys you, where gifts come from, and the gifting order that grows your account fastest.

How to Get Bond Levels
Bond levels come from gifts (presents) given through the Interaction (交流) menu, which unlocks after main story chapter 1. You do not need rare items — the game floods launch week with gift income so you can hit bond Lv1 on three characters within your first session and open the Tavern.
- Idle exploration — the steady drip; deeper floors drop more and better gifts over time.
- Interaction unlock bonus — the game hands you starter gifts the moment the menu opens; use them immediately to rush the 3-character tavern unlock.
- Daily and event missions — launch campaigns are loaded with gift rewards; check the news panel daily.
- Tavern business and shops — once the tavern runs, its rewards loop back into more gifts and Souls.
- Gacha and beginner boxes — new characters from the gacha banners need bond investment too; plan gifts alongside pulls.

How to Play Bond Levels
Playing the bond system means treating gifts as permanent account investment, not consumable fluff. Every bond level grants bond points (絆pt) that convert into permanent stat boosts — bond is direct combat power, not just flavor text. The menu flow is simple: open Interaction, pick a character, choose a gift stack, confirm.
- Clear chapter 1 and open Interaction from the Frontline Base hub.
- Select a character portrait — the bond level bar and next milestone rewards are shown on this screen.
- Tap gift — preferred categories show a bonus marker; feed matching items first.
- After Lv1, register the character for tavern shifts to start potential awakening.
| Bond points (絆pt) | Each level grants points for permanent stat boosts — real combat power on every unit you gift. |
| Tavern staffing | Characters need bond Lv1+ to work tavern shifts; the tavern itself upgrades from your total bond across all characters. |
| Character stories | Bond milestones unlock each character's personal story chapters. |
| Outfits & scenes | Higher bond unlocks exclusive tavern outfits and, at later milestones, the game's mature private scenes (rated 17+). |

How to Find Bond Levels in the Game
Bond UI is centralized in Interaction, but gift inventory scatters across your account. Knowing where to look prevents the common mistake of hoarding gifts in the present box while bond levels stall.
- Interaction (交流) — Frontline Base menu after chapter 1. This is the only place to give gifts and read bond milestones.
- Present box — login bonuses, pre-registration rewards and event mail often contain gifts; claim before they expire.
- Idle exploration reports — gifts drop passively; redeploy to deeper floors for better categories.
- Tavern soul shop — trades Souls for training materials, not gifts directly, but frees other resources for bond pushes.
- Character detail pages — show current bond level, unlocked stories and outfit previews without entering Interaction.

How to Protect Your Bond Levels
Gifts are finite in week one and bond progress is permanent — there is no respec. Protect your investment by spending on breadth first (tavern unlock and slot upgrades) before deep pushes on flavor favorites.
- Do not waste preferred gifts on wrong characters. The bonus indicator exists for a reason; feeding a food-loving character generic gifts burns efficiency.
- Finish rerolling before heavy gifting. Account deletion wipes bond progress along with everything else — see the reroll guide.
- Link your account after settling. Bond levels are account-bound; an unlinked save lost to device failure is gone — use the account transfer guide.
- Save high-tier gifts for mid-bond milestones. Early levels are cheap; mid levels start climbing — match gift quality to milestone value.
05
How to Complete Bond Levels
Completing bond progress for an account means hitting the milestones that matter for power and content — not maxing every character on day one. The reward track follows the same broad rhythm for every girl: early levels are cheap and front-loaded.
- Phase 1: any three characters to Lv1 — opens the tavern, the single biggest unlock bond offers.
- Phase 2: bond your main 5-unit core — permanent stats on your daily formation.
- Phase 3: spread Lv1–2 across the roster to push tavern upgrades and staff slots.
- Phase 4: deep bond on favorites for stories and scenes after the engine is running.
- Lv1 — tavern staffing unlocked; counts toward the 3-character tavern requirement.
- Early levels — bond points for stats, first story chapter, quick wins from just a few gifts.
- Mid levels — tavern outfit unlocks and bigger stat packets; costs start climbing.
- High levels — remaining story chapters and mature scene unlocks; save these pushes for characters you actually field or favor.

How to Beat / Optimize Bond Levels
Optimizing bond means optimizing gift flow into account power, not maximizing one character's gallery. The priority order below serves both combat strength and the tavern economy — the two systems share the same currency (gifts and total bond level).

- First: three cheap Lv1s. Any three characters to Lv1 — this opens the tavern, bond's highest-return unlock.
- Then: your main 5-unit core. Bond points are permanent stats; your daily-use formation profits most.
- Then: breadth for the tavern. Spread Lv1–2 across the roster to push tavern upgrades and staff slots via total bond.
- Last: favorites for story and scenes. Deep bond pushes are fan service — budget gifts after the growth engine runs.
